Divine Liturgy and prayer for Hagia Sophia by Archbishop of Thyateira

On Friday, July 24 2020, Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocesan Chapel of the Annunciation. Clergy and laity in attendance joined their prayers with the Archbishop for the unity and stability of the Holy Churches of God as well as for rapprochement, mutual respect, and peaceful co-existence among people of diverse cultures, religions, ethnic background in our world.

The small group also prayed for the Holy Great Church of Christ (Hagia Sophia), Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the choir of venerable Hierarchs, devout clergy, and people of God who continue to live and serve in the Constantinople of our blessed Foremothers and Forefathers in the Faith.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service was offered for the repose of the souls of all those who struggled and were perfected in faith defending the Holy Orthodox Faith and the Truth.
