Archbishop Ieronymos gave the assurance to the new Bishop of Euripus

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece gave the assurance to Bishop Chrysostomos of Euripus this morning at the seat of the Archdiocese.

Metropolitan Alexios of Nicaea, Bishop Symeon of Thespies and Protosyncellus of the Archdiocese of Athens, Bishop Sergios of Bihać and Petrovac, as well as clerics from the Archdiocese, and the Metropolis of Nicaea were also present.

The Archbishop wished the new Bishop strength, spiritual prosperity and much success in his work with to God and people. He also said that there is a strong spiritual link with Metropolitan of Nicaea, stressing that “the secular boundaries are contiguous. Likewise, our relations are contiguous and always distinct, but spiritual in the name of Christ. Today, you gave your assurance to the Archbishop, saying that you would serve him with faith and devotion. At the same time, you will serve the Metropolitan of Nicaea. So you have the choice to serve the Holy Archdiocese and the Holy Metropolis in line with their particular needs.”

Bishop of Euripus thanked the Archbishop. The Bishop reassured that he would always follow the path that the Archbishop had shown him so as to preach the Word of Christ.
